What is WIRE and what is it for?
WIRE is a place to coordinate services and keep a record of the work done. It helps a provider and its clients follow work without scattering information across conversations, files and separate lists.
Work in one place
Section titled “Work in one place”WIRE brings together:
- Activities: requests, visits, maintenance and other service tasks.
- Projects: the context that groups the work and its participants.
- Communication and evidence: comments, notes, photos, audio and files linked to each activity.
This makes it easier to understand what is needed, who is responsible, the current state of the work and what was done. What you can view or change depends on your access.
A start-to-finish example
Section titled “A start-to-finish example”North Team provides services to River Center. Within a project, the team records a visit as an activity, assigns the person responsible and sets a date. During the work, they add comments and photos, then update the status.
The activity keeps that context so people with access can follow what happened. The names in this example are fictional.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”Start by understanding how providers, clients, projects and activities relate to each other. Then check your role in the team and what information is shared with you.
You do not need to know every feature to begin: the project gives you context and the activity shows you the specific work.
