How AI helps in WIRE
Artificial intelligence in WIRE helps people work with information; it does not run the service. Its features depend on configuration and availability.
What it can contribute
Section titled “What it can contribute”- Transcriptions: turn audio into text. WIRE retains the original text generated by the transcription service and its source audio; it does not automatically correct it.
- Summaries and indicators: help you review work information. Check them against the activities and evidence behind them.
- Classification: can automatically set an activity’s category and priority. Both fields remain editable.
These tools do not replace comments, files or the team’s context.
What still depends on people
Section titled “What still depends on people”AI does not assign responsibility, change an activity’s status or approve work. Those decisions belong to people with the appropriate permissions.
For example, a classification can help organize the River Center visit, but the team decides who carries it out and updates its status.
How to interpret the results
Section titled “How to interpret the results”Generated text can contain mistakes or omit information. Listen to the audio when you need to check a transcription, and consult the original records to verify a summary or indicator.
If a result does not match what happened, do not treat it as confirmation of the work: check the sources and make the correct information clear in the activity.
