What are projects for?

A project brings together the work and people involved in a service. It belongs to the provider and can be linked to a client, so activities do not stand alone.

The project helps you understand what the service is about, which team participates and which activities belong to it. Its details maintain shared context; its participants determine who is involved and in what role.

Activities retain their own assignees, dates, statuses and evidence. Being in the same project does not turn all activities into a single task.

The “River Center Services” project can bring together a scheduled visit, a support request and a supervision review. Each is tracked as a separate activity, but they all share the service’s context.

Why you can see some projects but not others

Section titled “Why you can see some projects but not others”

Ordinary members need a project assignment. Provider administrators have access to their organization’s projects without needing that assignment. Client administrators have contact access to projects linked to their client.

If you cannot find a project you need, check that you are in the right organization and ask its administrator.

Being able to view a project does not mean you can administer it or access all its information: some actions, activities or evidence may be restricted.
